Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Mechanical Engineering has a great pleasure to invite students, lecturers and workers of Poznan University of Life Sciences to a lecture given by dr Enrico Tomelleri from Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy) Faculty of Science and Technology, Forest Ecology Group.
Topic of the lecture: „Lidar for temporally and spatially explicit forest inventories: an experience from the Dolomites”.
Aanalyzing the effects of an extreme event like the Vaia storm in Italy on the evolution of a traditionally managed forest. The value of combining Lidar and machine learning approaches for managing our forests in the context of a climate with a continuously increasing variability.
